About
Tsitaliya Mircheva-Petrova

I am Tsitaliya and I started Mums in Heels 10 years ago as a creative outlet of my unbridled enthusiasm and inspiration to write and share with the world.

From very early age I wanted to become a journalist. One thing that people don’t may be realise about being a good journalist is that they can (they learn) how to ask good questions, analyse data and information and then present it in an easy digestible way for the others to understand.

After graduating from the Faculty of Journalism and Mass Communications at the Sofia University, I started working as a reporter at the Bulgarian National TV. From that moment on I never stopped asking questions, writing and presenting, for magazines, for my own YouTube Channel, for PR agencies and fashion brands.

14 years ago my husband and I settled in Switzerland and I took the leap to start my own media.

The Blog I launched back then was focused mostly on fashion and style. I always have been interested in artisanal clothing, in how clothes are made, the process and the cultural references of making fashion. What intrigued me was, and still is, the irreplaceable value of the deeply unique.

That’s what took me to working with fashion designers and labels that give “luxury” a more purposeful meaning. Some of the labels I’ve worked with are KAZU by Kazu Huggler, Hanimanns, Yuno Sugihara Jewellery, ANNEX, Modissa, Vestibule, By Adushka, as well as the Swiss Fashion Platform Mode Suisse.

For a year I worked with the new fashion magazine NUICONS and had my own fashion column at the Ex-Pat Magazine in Switzerland Swiss News.

In the meantime my blog content was expanding. I became a mum and I realised women were complex creatures with different interests, passions and problems, which I wanted to address. I started wiring about motherhood and the importance of self-care in a woman’s life.

My approach to motherhood is very specific. I don’t give advice on what your baby should eat, wear or how to talk to your child. My goal is to help mothers feel more confident and empowered when they take decisions as parents, to embody fully being a role model for their children, and to still be able to thrive and grow, despite the overwhelm, exhaustion and challenges of parenthood.  I oppose to all the should-s and would-s, because I believe in mothers’ intuition, in the human experience and ancient wisdom. We learn and become parents with every step of this journey. Yet, there are no cookie-cutter solutions. Every relationship is deeply personal and unique and what Mums in Heels offers is rituals and practices to nourish your body, make friends with your inner voice and learn the art to trust your own wisdom.

That explains why I write soo much about self-care. Self care is life-saving once you become a mother. I personally find in self-care stability and grounding, connection with the self and with the Universe. Wisdom, beyond knowledge. People in my private circle of trust have always asked for my advice when it comes to wellbeing rituals and recipes. In fact my zodiacal sign Virgo is very much associated with self care and service.

That’s how from fashion and style I started studying and sharing more content for wellbeing, women’s mental health and health optimisation.

Through the outside (fashion) and the inside (health and wellbeing) I want to invite you on a journey. A journey of self-discovery and self-empowerment. I want you to let go of all the social norms, society expectations and cliches you’ve learned from your
mothers, grandmothers and society.

With Mums in Heels I want to provoke and dive deep into the notion of being a modern woman!!!!

Are you with me?

Whether you are a parent, a biz woman, a stay-at-home mama….I want to know you, I want to inspire you, I want to guide you to living your most authentic self, to fulfilling your potential and simply feeling good on most days!
