No matter how old we may feel and how much experience we’ve gained over the years, I believe it’s part of human’s nature to never stop looking, looking for new places to visit, new books to read, new people to meet and thus to learn through these experiences more about ourselves and life. Somewhere along the journey we understand how important in life details can be. Yes, sounds a bit corny, but we tend to forget it and then one day we read it in an interview, or we hear a story that re-focuses our wondering gaze. So the other day I was reading an article about the evolution of the trophey wives’ breed and somewhere along the list of names I stopped at Carole Bamford, who after marrying the billionaire industrialist Sir Anthony Bamford started converting the family’s farms in Staffordshire and Gloucestershire the village of Daylesford to organic, responsible farming based on traditional methods. Lady Bamford made a name for herself with her Daylesford Organic farmshop, café and natural fiber clothing label. Since there are so many such businesses, she said what makes her brand stand out is focusing on the detail.

I happened to read that while in Munich on a short trip with my family. It was almost going to end up like a disaster trip for many reasons, until I read that sentence and started focusing on the little moments of joy I’ve had these several days.

An afternoon spent in the English Garden sipping freshly brewed coffee in an English Rose Cup, under the thick shade of the tall trees near by the Chinese tower, wearing a set of my favourite pearls and experiencing a moment of peace and quietness with my family. Some of you may think I am mad: drinking coffee in the English garden in Munich? Sounds almost like wearing a pair of sneakers and a set of pearls? Like a plastic chair and a white tablecloth. Well, we all have our own ways…..and our own style. Let them be without any doubts, because that’s who you are.
