Ikebana Workshop, More than a Flower Arranging
Ikebana – the art of mindful and slow beauty, but originally the name comes from the Japanese Ikeru (keep alive, arrange) and Hana (flower). Together with incense appreciation and tea ceremonies, it is one of the traditional Japanese arts that teach us how to slow down time.
Initiated by Buddhist priests as a form of religious offering, Ikebana was for a long time limited to a small elite of people. Today it is much more wide spread and there are different schools, following different styles and principles. Of course Ikebana is not only about arranging flowers in a vessel. In way way it is a way of connecting with nature, admiring and appreciating natural beauty in its finest detail. Ikebana is usually done in silence and helps to clear the mind.
If you are curious to learn more about this ancient art, By Adushka together with personal shopper and stylist Julie Roux and Anna Kloss, a flower designer, are organising an exclusive FREE STYLE IKEBANA workshop which you can participate in.
